William Edward Whitby (July 29, 1943 – March 12, 2016) was an American

right-handed pitcher who appeared in four games in Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins during the 1964 season. Whitby was born in Crewe, Virginia; he stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 190 pounds (86 kg). He signed with the Twins in 1961 after graduating from Victoria High School
