Lieutenant Commander Carl P. "Speedy" Steedman (born 14 August 1973) is a Royal Navy officer, who served as Warrant Officer to the Royal Navy, the most senior non-commissioned advisor and senior rating of the Royal Navy from 31 January 2020 to July 2022.[1]
Steedman joined the Royal Navy as a radio operator in May 1991, attending the school of communications at
Promoted to chief petty officer in October 2006, he joined the Maritime Battle Staff whereby he was promoted to warrant officer 1 and served as the warrant officer of the communications school.
After decommissioning HMS Ocean,
Steedman was awarded the Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 2006,[4] and a clasp to the medal in 2018.[5] He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2020.[6]
