    This category gathers the names of painters who fit the following criteria:
    1. Time — Mainly active during the 17th century and 18th century in Italy (c. 1600 – c. 1800). It could be dated as following Mannerism, &/or beginning with the "PC era" — the post-Carracci or post-Caravaggio.
    2. Place — Active or born or trained in what is or is considered historic Italy.
    3. Manner — Worked in a style influenced, directly or indirectly, by either the
      Caracci or by Caravaggio and in a style not clearly recognized as Neoclassicism
      .
