Dnyandeo Yashwantrao Patil (born 22 October 1935) is a former Indian politician, best known as the governor of Bihar, West Bengal and Tripura. He was a leader of the Indian National Congress from Maharashtra state.[2] On 24 December 2018, he joined the Nationalist Congress Party.

Early life

He was born at Ambap village in the present-day

Bombay state.[3]

He received the Padma Shri award in 1991 for social work.[4]

Political and public service career

Patil was elected to the Kolhapur Municipal Council as a

Governor of Bihar on 9 March 2012.[8][9]
