David Maddock

David Rokeby Maddock (30 May 1915 – 20 August 1984) was

Bishop of Dunwich from 1967 to 1976.[1]

He was born on 30 May 1915[2] and educated at Clifton College[3] and St Catherine's College, Oxford.

After ordination he was a

Provost of St Edmundsbury
(1976–1981).

Maddock was a

Freemason, initiated in the Apollo University Lodge, Oxford, in 1937.[6]

He died on 14 August 1984[7] and was succeeded by William Johnston.
