Geography

Dripping Springs is located in southeastern Delaware County and is bordered to the south by the Adair County line, to the north by the U.S. Route 59/412 highway, and to the southeast by Dripping Springs Branch, flowing through Natural Falls State Park. The park itself was known as Dripping Springs until the state acquired the tract in 1990. The community of Dripping Springs is 8 miles (13 km) east of the town of Kansas, and 9 miles (14 km) west of Siloam Springs.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.7 km2), all land.[3]

The average household size was 3.15 and the average family size was 3.78.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 36.6% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 36.6% from 25 to 44, 9.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females, there were 105.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 116.7 males.
