Eliaba James Surur (21 November 1930 Mongalla - 17 August 2014 Kampala) was a politician in Sudan. He was the founder and chairman of the now defunct political party, Union of Sudan African Parties 2 (USAP)[1]
Surur was born in
Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) from 1983 to 2005. He was a leader of the Union of Sudan African Parties before splintering off to form the USAP 2.[3]

During July 2010, Surur announced that the Union of Sudan African Parties 2 would become part of the
Southern Sudanese independence referendum scheduled for January 2011.[4]
