Eliyahu Moshe Panigel
Eliyahu Moshe Panigel (1850–1919) was the
Sephardi
chief rabbi of the Ottoman Empire, Palestine and Jerusalem.
Orphaned at a young age, Panigel was brought up by his uncle
General Allenby and the Jewish Legion
