Summary

Description
English: The Great Mosque in Ashkelon was built in 1300 by the Mamluk Sultan Nasser Muhammad. Also known as "the khan", although it was probably not used for hospitality. Today, part of it is used as a museum of the history of the city of Ashkelon.
עברית: המסגד הגדול באשקלון נבנה בשנת 1300 על ידי הסולטן הממלוכי נאצר מוחמד. מכונה גם "החאן", אף שכנראה לא שימש לאירוח. כיום, חלק ממנו משמש כמוזיאון לתולדות עיר אשקלון.
