花蓮新社村，百年來從未休耕的海稻田，在夏天稻穗成熟時與海天相映更顯生氣盎然。 在古老時期由宜蘭來的噶瑪蘭族遷居至此，因為想念家鄉的大片稻田及米香，因此在這臨海的台地種植大面積的稻田，而有現今與海相依的海梯田景象。 |
