Offered by Dolphin Vehicles of Sunnyvale CA. "The prototype vehicle is undergoing final body and interior work which will be completed soon." Postcard was postmarked 24 April 1987. "The Vortex is a build-it-yourself 3-wheeled vehicle designed to except (sic) a wide variety of power plants. From electric to high-power motorcycle - the Vortex provides a high-performance platform for advanced transportation visions." Plans only were available for $30, according to Popular Science magazine, October 1990. Doors opened butterfly wing fashion (up and forward) and the entire rear deck opened upward for easy access to the engine or batteries. |
