Summary

Description
English: This illustration shows the ATP hydrolysis into ADP + inorganic phosphate followed by the regeneration of ATP. In this process ATP functions as a liaison between exergonic reactions (which provides the energy for ATP synthesis) and endergonic reactions (which uses the energy released during ATP hydrolysis).
