From the jpeg metadata:

C. Berkeley Folklorist Alan Dundes is shown with a wooden Norwegian statue of a tale called "Squeezing the Stone" or a contest to squeeze water from a stone. Professor Dundes found the statue in a [furniture] store in Norway during the 1960's and recognized that it was a classic European tale.
