Summary

Non-free media information and use rationale true for Heinz Kiwitz
Description

1933 woodcut by Heinz Kiwitz. It features caricatures of Göring, Goebbels and Hitler being driven mad by the song, perhaps the Internationale, sung by determined antifascists. Goebbels tries to stop the singing by turning off the radio, Hitler plugs his ears and Göring, holding a pistol, looks like he will simply kill the singers. The artist was later put in Kemna concentration camp, was released and later fought in the Spanish Civil War, where he was apparently killed in 1938 at age 28.
