heirwork and the structure will be inreadiness to turn over to the cablecontractor. All cable equipment has beenerected on the San Francisco sideof the Golden Gate, with the ex-ception of that which will sur-mount the completed tower. Onthe Marin side men are workingon a platform at the top of the746-foot tower, a 10-ton derrickhas been erected on the anchorageblock and a huge derrick set up onthe unloading dock, which wascompleted during the past week. The high viaduct of the Presidioapproach road has been finishedto the point where steel super-structure is to be erected and thelow viaduct is virtually completeinsofar as its first stage is con-cerned. In the eastern shops and mills1250 tons of rolled material wasshipped to the fabricating plantsduring the past week to be con-verted into units for the suspend-ed structure of the bridge. P. F.
