English: Buddhist votive stele. Limestone. From China, Shanxi Province. Northern Wei Dynasty, c. 520 CE. Victoria and Albert Museum, London. One side shows the Buddha Shakyamuni, the other famous religious debate between Bodhisattva Wenshu (Manjusri) and the pious lay believer Weimojie (Vimalakirti).
