Description
Português: Construída originalmente nas terras que pertenciam à antiga Fazenda do Engenho em Jacarepaguá, atualmente a igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios situa-se em área de propriedade da Colônia Juliano Moreira. A pedra fundamental foi lançada pelo internúncio apostólico monsenhor D. M. Falinelli Antoniucci e, segundo inscrição no pórtico, seus fundadores foram Francisco Teles, Cosme dos Reis e d. Mario Pascoal. O projeto, de inspiração neoclássica, é do arquiteto da Casa Imperial, Theodoro Marx. A igreja, inaugurada em 1862, tem nave única tipo salão, transepto e capela-mor linear. A torre sineira, de planta octogonal, ergue-se sobre o nártex. INEPAC
