Summary
| Description | Petroglyph at Comanche Gap, depicting anthropomorphic figures; the top on with a rattle. These two figures are on a large volcanic dike on a private ranch in the Galisteo Basin. I went on one of the rare tours there in 2004. As you can see from this photo they occur close together, but they are high on the cliff and hard to get in one photo. Polly Schaafsma suggests they represent war among the peoples of the area. |
