English: "First photographs of a coronation ever taken. King George V and Queen Mary occupying their chairs of estate on the south side of the altar during that part of the coronation service which precedes the anointing. On the left, the bearers of the four swords. On either side of the King and Queen, the supporting bishops. Reproduced by permission from the late Sir John Benjamin Stone's collection of photographs in the Birmingham Reference Libraries."
