Summary

Description
English: A general view of the countryside at Tsavo looking west from the Nairobi-Mombasa main road. Tsavo is approximately 200 miles from Nairobi and 120 from Mombasa. In the centre of the picture is the camp of a Royal Engineers Unit which is engaged in a project to pipe water from the Tsavo River to the Army Stores Depot at Mackinnon Road some 65 miles away.
