DescriptionCwm Irfon north-west of Abergwesyn, Powys - geograph.org.uk - 1507387.jpg
English: Cwm Irfon north-west of Abergwesyn, Powys Looking up the glaciated valley from the road below the crags of Craig Irfon. Much of the forestry ahead has been felled or is due to be felled soon. Through the gap in the distant forest, the 25% hairpin bends of the "Devil's Staircase" climb the hill from the valley bottom. Not to be attempted in icy winter weather. There are plenty of places to turn round by the river - if they are not flooded after heavy rain (which they are - frequently).
