Summary

Description
English: A diagram explaining cyclic steps. Note that the lee side is subject to erosion and the stoss side is subject to aggradation; the net effect is that over time the slopes move against the flow of the water. Sub/supercritical is in terms of Froude instability. I drew the file myself because the cyclic steps article would benefit from a diagram; in the future it may be worth replacing this with a more professional diagram. I made it by referring to this paper [1] as well as the plethora of images that show up when you search for cyclic steps. It is meant to be a combination of all of them, highlighting the aspects that show up in the cyclic steps article.
