English: „Or, a warrior passant proper, chlothed gules and with hair gules; a sword gules in a baldric Or, in his right a spear gules, in the left a round shield gules, charged with a ring and four crosses Or.”

Deutsch: Das am 18. November 1948, durch den niedersächsischen Innenminister verliehene Wappen, zeigt das kaum veränderte Wappen der 1937 eingemeindeten Stadt Rüstringen unter Verzicht auf das Oldenburgische Wappen auf dem Rundschild.
English: The arms were granted on November 18, 1948 The arms show old Frisian warrior of Rüstringen, but with a neutral shield, not with the arms of the Duchy of Oldenburg.
