English: Ostracon with Demotic inscription. Limestone. Ptolemaic Period, c. 305-30 BC-(?330-305 BC?). Probably from Thebes. It is a prayer to the god Amun to heal a man's blindness. It concludes: "Return to me, my great lord, Amun. I am defenseless. Let me not perish. Do not forget me."
Euskara: Idazkun demotikoa duen ostraka, Kristo aurreko 330 - 305. urteen ingurukoa, segur aski Tebas hirikoa. Otoitz egiten dio Amon jainkoari, gizon bat itsu izatetik senda dezan. Hauxe dio, bukaeran: «Itzul zaitez nigana, nire jaun handi hori, Amon. Babesgabea naiz. Ez nazazu hiltzen utzi. Ez nazazu ahaztu».
Español: Ostracón de roca calcárea con inscripción en demótico, datada en el período Ptolemaico (ca. 330-305 a. C.); es originaria probablemente de Tebas. La inscripción es un ruego al dios Amón de curar la ceguera de un hombre. El texto concluye: «Vuelve a mí, Amón, gran señor mío. Estoy indefenso. No me dejes perecer. No me olvides». |
