Description
English: Destruction at Friesoythe (Germany), with vehicles of the 4 Canadian Division passing through to reinforce the bridgehead on the Kustenkanal. The city was burned to the ground by Canadian forces as a collective punishment against the local population, and to collect rubble to reinforce roads.
