Română: Dimitrie Paciurea - Sfinxul, gips patinat, 116 cm, semnat dreapta jos D. Paciurea. Lucrarea Sfinxul au început preocupările lui Dimitrie Paciurea pentru dezvoltarea temei Himerelor. Opera în gips a fost achiziționată de Pinacoteca Statului. S-a turnat o replică în bronz în anul 1913 care a fost cumpărată de criticul de artă Virgil Cioflec, care a montat-o într-o firidă a casei sale aflată pe Calea Dorobanților. În anul 1936, bronzul a fost cumpărat de Pinacoteca Cioflec și a intrat mai târziu în fondurile Muzeului de artă din Cluj (nr. inventar MA 1395/PC/112. Camil Ressu a afirmat că Paciurea a donat Academiei de arte frumoase din București, în preajma anului 1931-1932, două lucrări - Sfinx (gips) și Zeul Războiului (gips), despre a căror soartă nu se mai știe nimic. În anul 1961, Muzeul de artă al Republicii a turnat în bronz o copie la Combinatul Fondului Plastic (nr. inventar 1300/7946). Sfixul a fost expus la Tinerimea artistică din 1912, Expoziția de artă românească de la Munchen din 1912, la a XIV-a Expositione Internationale d'arte della Citta di Venezia din 1924, la Retrospectiva din 1932 și la cea din 1957.
