This modern (1928) Depot (coded 74C by BR/SR) had an allocation in 1951 of 64 locomotives:- 6 4-6-2, 10 4-6-0, 13 4-4-0, 5 2-6-0, 10 0-6-0, 5 2-6-4T (LMS-type), 8 0-6-0T, 6 0-4-4T and 1 0-4-2T. Their variety is evident in the photgraph.
