Description
Español: Retrato imaginario del rey Juan II de Castilla (1405-1454). Fue hijo del rey Enrique III de Castilla y de la reina Catalina de Lancáster. En 1431 el ejército castellano, comandado por el condestable Álvaro de Luna, derrotó a los musulmanes en la batalla de la Higueruela. En 1453 el condestable y valido Álvaro de Luna fue ejecutado por orden de Juan II en Valladolid. Y el rey Juan II falleció en Valladolid en 1454, a los 49 años de edad y fue sucedido en el trono por su hijo, Enrique IV de Castilla. Fue sepultado junto con su segunda esposa, la reina Isabel de Portugal, en la Cartuja de Miraflores.
