Català: Escut de Burjassot (l'Horta Nord).
«Adopta la forma de l'escut espanyol [en realitat francés: quadrilong i apuntat] truncat i mig partit. En la meitat superior sobre fons atzur, castell somat per mitja lluna i flanquejat de dos pins, tot això com al·lusió directa a la suposada etimologia de la paraula "Burjassot", d'origen àrab, composta, segons es creu, dels vocables "burg" (torre) i "Sot" (bosc), segons l'historiador Escolano. / La meitat inferior queda partida en dos quarters: a l'esquerra, l'escut del més important dels primers senyors, Misser Domingo Mascó, a qui el Rei Joan I va concedir, el 25 d'octubre de 1389, els drets del terç delme i el del Monedàtic del lloc de Burjassot i els seus termes. De com era l'escut de l'aclarit valencià tenim referència exacta per la "troba" CCCIX de Mossén Febrer, que el descriu "amb torre e cigonya a camp colorat". / En el quarter de la dreta veiem sobre camp de plata la Creu Patriarcal de Sant Joan de Ribera, creu en or amb la balança de la Justícia, la qual al llarg de molts anys ha sigut l'escut semioficial del poble, i és el símbol del titular de l'Arxiprestal de Sant Miquel Arcàngel. / Entre la punta de l'escut i els quarters inferiors hi ha un espai ocupat per un dels 41 pilons de les Sitges. / L'escut va circumval·lat per una llegenda, "Cuncta adversa fuget prospera cuncta serat" (Espanta l'advers, fomenta el favorable) presa d'un vers que va manar pintar Sant Joan de Ribera en el saló d'actes de l'històric castell. / Una corona de marquesat, lleugerament modificada, serveix de rematada a l'escut» (Dades històriques sobre l'escut de Burjassot).
