English: Maull & Fox are no longer trading. Several searches on the internet fail to reveal the employee who took the photograph, or very little about this image at all. Online collections of Maull & Fox photographs fail to reveal the photographer of individual images, and there is no record of any archive. Since the full image is marked "copyright" and the firm ceased to trade in 1928, it is reasonable to assume it was made available to the public before 1952. Since Russell appears with dark hair, aged around 40, it is reasonable to assume this was published before 1927 (Maull & Fox took photographs of celebrities for resale to the public) as photographs of Russell in newspapers on his death in 1931 show him with white hair and far older in appearance.
