Afrikaans: Grootskaalse, onwettige goudontginning in die suidelike Peruaanse Amasone van Madre de Dios. Ontginning vind hier plaas in die buffersone van die Tambopata Nasionale Reservaat, suidwaarts van die Malinousqui-rivier wat van wes na oos langs die onderrand van die beeld loop. Die woud vertoon swart in hierdie hoogtepunt om mynputte uit te lig, met blootgestelde grond in geel. Wateroppervlaktes word in verskeie kleure aangedui, van swart wanneer helder, tot blou-groenerig of gelerig by gesuspendeerde sedimente en/of eutrofiese water. Aan die bokant van die beeld loop die 30C-interoseaanpad verby etlike ontboste plotte vir veeteelt vir plaaslike verbruik, in liggroen en rooibruin.
Français : L'exploitation minière a lieu dans la zone tampon de la réserve nationale de Tambopata, au sud de la rivière Malinowski, visible en bas de l'image. Surface de l'eau en plusieurs couleurs, du noir lorsque clair à bleuâtre / verdâtre avec des sédiments en suspension et / ou eutrophique. La route interocéanique s'étend en haut de l'image, le long de plusieurs parcelles déboisées destinées à l'élevage de bovins de consommation locale, en vert clair et brun rougeâtre.
Español: Garimpo de ouro ilegal em larga escala no S da Amazônia Peruana, em Madre de Dios, anteontem. A mineração ocorre na zona de amortecimento da Reserva Nacional Tambopata, ao S do Rio Malinousqui, que corre na parte de baixo da imagem de O para L. Floresta em preto, nesse realce para destacar as cavas de mineração, com solo exposto em amarelo. Superfície da água em várias cores, de preta quando clara até azulada/esverdeada e amarelada quando com sedimentos em suspensão e/ou eutrofizadas. Na parte de cima da imagem corre a Carretera Interoceanica 30C, evidenciada pelos lotes desmatados para criação de gado para consumo local, em verde claro e marrom avermelhado
English: Large scale illegal gold mining at Southern Peruvian Amazon, at Madre de Dios, two days ago. Mining happens at Tambopata National Reserve buffer zone, S of Malinowski River, running at image bottom from W to E. Forest appears in black in this stretch made to highlight mining pits, with their yellow exposed soil. Water surface in several colors, from black when clear to blueish/greenish when with suspended sediments and/or eutrophic. Interoceanic Road 30C, runs at image top, along several deforested plots meant for local consumption cattle ranching, in light green and redish brown. |
