English: Lieutenant Commander George H. Rose, United States Naval Reserve, (1880-1932). Halftone reproduction of a photograph, published in "Army and Navy Legion of Valor of the U.S." Seaman George H. Rose received the Medal of Honor for his "meritorious conduct" during the China Relief Expedition as part of the landing force from Newark in June 1900.
