Description
English: 'Hjordis' Lighted Beacon, Blakeney NNR

The Admiralty List of Lights refers to it as "Blakeney Harbour. Hjordis Wreck." (number A2356). The beacon was installed in 2008 to replace a buoy, and marks the wreck of the SS Hjordis (ship, 1873), which ran aground on 16 February 1916.[1]

Built by AG Hansa, Rostock; 431 grt, 226 nrt; 160.6 x 23.0 x 12.3; 2-cyl. compound engine (AG Hansa), 60 nhp, 198 ihp[2]

The beacon is an isolated danger beacon, indicated by the two black spheres on the top and the black and red bands.
