| Description |
English: The photograph shows a paralysis tick that had been attached to human skin just behind the ear for just over four days before it was discovered. Although a large area around the tick exhibits symptoms of hypoesthesia (numbness) it was thought that the symptoms were due to a shar object or spider bite. Later onset of flu-like symptoms and increased numbness resulted in hospital treatment. |
