English: The figure of Justice in this painting was in turn considered the representation of Madame de Brionne, maiden name Louise de Rohan-Guémené or even Madame Adélaïde, daughter of Louis XV. Justice Chastising Injustice is however quite emblematic of the painter's talent and keen sense of staging.
Français : La figure de la Justice dans ce tableau fut tour à tour considérée comme la représentation de Madame de Brionne, née Louise de Rohan-Guémené, ou encore de Madame Adélaïde, fille de Louis XV.
