Description
English: Jenny Lind (1820-1887) - Goldschmidt, Swedish vocalist, 1820 Stockholm - 1887 Malvern, Worcestershire, England

Bronze medallion, d.= 22 mm.

This token was probably issued for Jenny's tour of America, 1850 – 1852. It shows her year of birth 1821 in contrary to 1820 in the Oxford University Press. Carole Rosen, ‘Lind , Jenny (1820–1887)’, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford University Press, 2004 accessed 10 June 2014. This contradiction needs more research to be done.

Portrait facing, curved above: "JENNY LIND"/ Lyre between branches, around: "NESCIT OCASUM NATA 1821". Fuld/Rulau Jenn-11 .
