On October 8, 1910, he applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for permission to build a church, monastery and bell tower in the Ç›narlar Greek quarter. With the continuation of the process, on June 4, 1911, 18 m. for Kapusen monks in Ç›narlar locality. 23 m high with a bell tower. 10 m in length. in width and 13 m. height of 22 m with a church. 9 m in length. wide and 13 m. height of a monastery was allowed to be built, and then the construction of the church was started. Today, the church has been used as a children's library since 1967. The building, which was built in a rectangular plan in the north-south direction, is located in the garden surrounded by cut stone walls. The northern façade of the building, facing the street, is quite spectacular and has a pointed arched entrance in the middle of the façade. The entrance landing, which is reached by a five-step stone staircase from the garden, is covered with a vault from the inside and a five-sided roof from the outside, and this cover is carried by two square-section stone columns in the front. The surface of the columns carrying the cover is animated with rows of grooves. Above the arch is another shallow arch for decorative purposes arranged on a hill. The double-winged wooden door of the building is one of the most beautiful 19th century door examples in Giresun. The lower tables of the door have a grooved arrangement, the middle tables have a sliced core, and the upper tables have an arched arrangement. A three-slice motif, similar to the passionflower motif, is seen on the table surface within the uppermost arch. There are four adjacent windows with pointed arches above the entrance on the north façade. The glass of the four-section guillotine windows in the arch is arranged in the form of stained glass. On the arches of the windows on the sides, there is another superficial arch for decorative purposes arranged in a hilly shape. This arrangement is designed to make one roof over the two windows in the middle and by raising them compared to the ones on the sides. has been applied. On the facade there are rows of shallow niches with pointed arches arranged parallel to the eaves.

Ç›narlar Rum mahallesinde yap›lmak istenen kilise, manast›r ve çan kulesi inflas›na izin verilmesi için 8 Ekim 1910 y›l›nda Hariciye Nezaretine baflvuruda bulunmufltur. Sürecin devam›yla 4 Haziran 1911 tarihinde Ç›narlar mevkiinde Kapusen rahipleri için 18 m. yüksekli¤inde çan kulesi bulunan 23 m. uzunlu¤unda 10 m. eninde ve 13 m. yüksekli¤inde bir kilise ile 22 m. uzunlu¤unda 9 m. geniflli¤inde ve 13 m. yüksekli¤inde bir manast›r inflas›na izin verilmifl ve akabinde kilise inflas›na bafllanm›flt›r. Günümüzde kilise 1967 y›l›ndan itibaren çocuk kütüphanesi olarak kullan›lmaktad›r. Kuzey-güney do¤rultusunda dikdörtgen planl› olarak infla edilen yap›, kesme tafl duvarlarla çevrili bahçe içerisinde yer al›r. Yap›n›n caddeye bakan kuzey cephesi oldukça gösteriflli olup, cephe ortas›nda sivri kemerli girifli vard›r. Bahçeden befl basamakl› tafl merdiven ile ulafl›lan girifl sahanl›¤›n›n üzeri içten tonoz, d›fltan beflik çatı ile örtülü olup, bu örtü önde iki adet kare kesitli tafl kolon ile tafl›n›r. Örtüyü tafl›yan kolonlar›n yüzeyi yiv sıraları ile hareketlendirilmiştir. Kemerin üzerinde, tepelik olarak düzenlenmiş dekoratif amaçlı yüzeysel bir kemer daha vardır. Yapının iki kanatlı ahşap kapısı Giresun’daki en güzel 19. yüzyıl kapı örneklerinden birisidir. Kapının alt tablaları yivli, orta tablaları dilimli göbek, üst tablaları ise kemerli bir düzenle - meye sahiptir. En üstteki kemer içinde kalan tabla yüzeyinde ise çarkıfelek motifine benzer üç dilimli bir motif görülür. Kuzey cephede girişin üzerinde sivri kemerli birbirine bitiflik dört adet pencere yer alır. Dört bölmeli giyotin pencerelerin kemer içinde kalan camları vitray şeklinde düzenlenmiştir. Kenarlardaki pencerelerin kemerleri üzerinde, tepelik fleklinde düzenlenmifl dekoratif amaçl› yüzeysel birer kemer daha vardır. Bu düzenleme, ortadaki iki pencereye bir adet tepelik yapacak flekilde ve yanlardakine göre yükseltilerek uygulanmıştır. Cephenin üzerinde saçağa paralel olarak dizilmiş sivri kemerli yüzeysel niş sıraları vardır. |
