Summary

Description
English: The house probably dates from the 18th century and is alleged to have been the home of Wolraad Woltemade who, in 1773, performed the heroic deed in which he swam his horse to the sinking De Jonge Thomas several times before drowning himself. It was declared a National Monument under old NMC legislation on 29 October 1971. The house now belongs to journalist Jos Baker.[1]
