Rückseite: IDOLOLATRIA SERVITVTE PROFLIGATIS RELIGIONE LEGIB LIBERTAT RESTITVTIS // 1689. Darstellung der Krönungszeremonie. Zwei geistliche Würdenträger halten eine überdimensionale Königskrone über dem auf einem baldachinartigen Thron sitzenden und sich einander zuwendenden Königspaar.

Kommentar: Mit der Krönung des protestantischen Erbstatthalters der Niederlande, Wilhelms (III.) von Oranien und seiner Gemahlin Maria, Tochter König Jakobs II. von Großbritannien, im Jahre 1689 siegte zugleich die Oppostion in England über den zum Katholizismus übergetretenen König Jakob II. Mit Wilhelm III. begann das Zeitalter der Gründung des Britischen Weltreichs. Jakob II. floh nach Frankreich. Die Medaille eines zeitgenössischen unbekannten Künstlers hält das Ereignis der Krönung von Wilhelm und Maria in einem feinen Silberguss fest.
