English: Center, Lt. Col. Kurt Schaecher, a Bettendorf, Iowa, native and a lab operations manager for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Infectious Disease, tells Soldiers of the 36th Engineer Brigade about the procedures when specimens comes to the lab facility at the Liberian Institute for Biomedical Medical Research during a tour of the facility, Dec. 6, 2014, Monrovia, Liberia. Schaecher said they use gloves during the whole process and bleach the information sheets before its archived. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
