Summary

Description
English: The Slītere National Park is the smallest of Latvia’s national parks, and it is famous for its broadleaf forests and a set of dunes and depressions, especially in the Blue Hills, the best-known feature of the park.

Because 40 million years ago the climate in the area was sub-tropical it is still possible to find fossilized amber from that period near the seashore.
