Description

Marjorie Whiteman, Assistant Legal Adviser at the Department of State in the 1960s.

Whiteman was the editor of the Digest of United States Practice in International Law from 1963-1971. The Digest traces its history back to the 1870s; it came to be known to many as “Whiteman’s” during her tenure.
