English: Illustration from folio 165 recto of the Durán Codex, a 16th-century manuscript addressing pre-Hispanic Mexican history, depicting the massacre of Mexica merchants sent by emperor Moctezuma II carried out by the people of Quetzaltepec, an event which later lead to its invasion and conquest by the forces of the Mexica Empire.
