Title
Medieval Horse Harness Pendant
Description
English: A cast copper alloy strap shield-shaped harness pendant of probable fourteenth century date. The pendant measures 28.5mm by 18.9mm by 3.3mm and weighs 4.2g. In the centre of the top of the shield there is the stub of an integral suspension loop which would have been set at ninety degrees to the shield. Almost all of the original surface has been worn away and as a result the decorative elements are unclear.
