English: Reproduction of a lost Byzantine miniature in the Peribleptos Monastery, Mystras, portraying emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos alongside his son (Constantine Palaiologos) and wife (Theodora Palaiologina). The original inscription adressed Michael as the "New Constantine", referencing his reconquest of Constantinople in 1261.
