Object history c. 1501: commissioned by Sant'Agostino, Città di Castello
für die Kapelle Andrea Baronie.
Deutsch: 1789 wurden die Tafeln bei einem Erdbebenschwer beschädigt. Die erhaltenen Teile an Papst Pius VI. verkauft. 1799 wurden die Tafeln mit Gott und Maria von Domenico Venuti im Auftrag der Bourbonen in einem Depot gefunden und nach San Luigi dei Francesi in Rom in Sicherheit vor den Plünderungen gebracht. Die restlichen Teile des Altarbildes befinden sich im Louvre und in der Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo in Brescia
Italiano: L'opera, pur essendo esposta bella Galleria Farnese, non fa Parte della Collezione Farnese, trattandosi di un'acquisizione Borbonica giunta a Napoli nel 1799.
Notes Die Tafeln werden weitgehend Raffael zugeschrieben, die goldene Architektur und die unteren Putten Evangelista da Pian di Meleto
