Summary

A soldier with a FIM-43C Redeye missile.

When I was a 16P-10 Redeye and Chapparal Gunner Visual Aircraft Recognition was a Major Duty. Importance was placed on recognizing the aircraft so friendly forces were not shot down.We would spend hours and hours looking at slides and going to airfields with simulators. The Redeye was replaced with the Stinger. PEACE
