  • Commandé pour la salle du Billard de Trianon-sous-Bois en 1688 ;
  • collection Louis XIV ; posé le 7 mai 1696 ;
  • "Ce tableau et les 8 suivants décoraient autrefois la salle de billard du Grand Trianon dans laquelle Houasse avait peint l'Histoire de Minerve. Ils sont inscrits dans l'Inventaire de Bailly (1709-10)" (Villot 1853) ;
  • en place lors du récolement établi par Bailly et Portail le 6 juillet 1741 ;
  • mentionné au magasin de la Surintendance à Versailles en 1760 et en 1784 ;
  • mentionné dans le cabinet du Conseil (n°116), corps central, premier étage, dans l’inventaire de 1850
