Summary

Description
English: *Upper part: Reproduction of the right half of the front of the skull (frontal ATD6-15) of an immature individual belonging to the species Homo antecessor. It has a well-developed double arch supraorbital torus separated from the front scale. The aspect of the supraorbital torus suggests that, although it is difficult to specify the age of the individual, it could be a pre-adolescent. Its excavators estimate the cranial capacity of this individual as not less than 1000 cc. Length: 6.20 cm; width: 10 cm. No. inv. 2000/122/14. National Archaeological Museum of Spain.
  • Bottom: Reproduction of the jaw of a juvenile individual belonging to the Homo antecessor species. Researchers highlight the fully modern morphology of this fossil in its middle part such as the nasal opening or in the infraorbital plaques. It preserves 7 teeth in situ. Height: 5.40 cm; length: 5.20 cm; width: 8.80 cm. No. inv. 2000/122/15. National Archaeological Museum of Spain.
Conserva 7 piezas dentarias in situ. Altura: 5,40 cm; longitud: 5,20 cm; anchura: 8,80 cm. Nº inv. 2000/122/15. Museo Arqueológico Nacional de España.
