Description
English: A tablet set in the wall of the Brookfield Unitarian Church, Gorton (716 Hyde Rd, Manchester M18 7EF, United Kingdom) commemorating Richard Peacock, philanthropist, who paid for the church to be erected. The tablet, which was erected by employees of Beyer, Peacock and Company, describes his parliamentary career and testifies to his being "a kind and unostentatious friend to the poor and needy ... a supporter of all agencies for the social elevation of the people."
